We live in a society where the access to information is of Growing importance. Among the many
aspects that characterize this new information society I would like to
highlight just one. The spread of tools and means for accessing information
allow, as well, greater transparency and contact between the bodies of
political power and the people, thereby contributing to the reinforcement
of democratic regimes. It is certain that for this the
mere existence of means is not enough. It is Essential that the Sovereign
Bodies, of The State administration and of political agencies in general
make an effort to use these means to ease access to information and to
knowledge about their own functions. That is what this Page seeks to achieve.
I hope that it will contribute to a better understanding of the Activity of the President
of the Republic.
